Before we begin

A little clarity can make the first step feel lighter.

Here are thoughtful answers to the questions we hear most often from people considering counselling.

Still wondering about something? Let’s talk it through.
01

What can I expect in the first counseling session?

Your first session is a gentle conversation about what brought you here, what you hope will change, and what kind of support feels right for you.

02

Do I need to be Christian to book a session?

No. Peniel welcomes individuals, couples, and families from all backgrounds. Faith can be included in counseling when you want it to be part of the process.

03

Can couples and families attend together?

Yes. Sessions are available for couples, families, youth, and groups, with care shaped around communication, trust, healing, and practical next steps.

04

Will what I share remain confidential?

Your privacy is treated with care. At the beginning of counselling, your counsellor will explain confidentiality and the limited safety or legal circumstances where information may need to be shared.
